His birthday is first, so Abraham Lincoln is older, right?

During a review of a unit on presidents, I was feeling pretty confident listening to the kiddos talk about the books and activities we had used to learn about George Washington and Abraham Lincoln. As I walked by one table, I heard one of my first grade kiddos say…

“No, George Washington isn’t. The other president, his birthday is first. So Abraham Lincoln is older, right Mrs. Saari?”

Sigh. 😉 1732 or 1809??? The years just don’t register with kiddos. But, the fact that February 12th is before February 22nd makes total sense. Don’t ya just love firsties!

Abe and George are the focus for the following two products to assist your instruction for Abraham Lincoln and George Washington.

Although, I’m proud of the Vocabulary Cards, ABC Order, Word Search puzzles, Writing, and Word Building activities in both products, maybe something is missing. Upon reflection, I think I need to add a timeline 🙂 activity.

Until next time,
